◆ What is a fanzine?
A fanzine is a non-professional and non-official publication produced by enthusiasts of a particular cultural phenomenon (such as a literary or musical genre) for the pleasure of others who share their interest.
** ◆ What does “non-profit” mean?**
We will deliver this project to everyone who wants it for free. However, we kindly ask to never repost anything we share from our main account. Reposts are not allowed. Only the artists have permission to post their works once the project is finished.
◆ Is there going to be a physical copy?
No, the zine will be digital.
◆ Will I gain something from this?
This project has entertainment purposes only, the contributors and the mods do not receive monetary compensation for their work.
◆ Who can apply?
Everyone is welcome: from digital artists to traditional artists, writers and photo editors.
◆ Theme of the zine?
“And once it's past all hope, the mind goes... Unnatural, with thoughts.”
With this project we aim to create a feeling of desolation and loneliness: drawings about doomed expeditions, poems or even comics that describe what it is to be absolutely lost in a place that doesn’t want you there.
Fanart of movies and TV shows about explorers are more than welcome (e.g.: The Terror, The Flight of the Eagle, The North Water, Amundsen, Against The Ice, etc). You can also make content based on real people as well. If you're not familiar with any of this but still want to apply, original content is also possible! OCs are ok but they have to fit the main theme (make them explorers, you coward).
Ships are allowed too, but only at a SFW level. Mild gore is also ok.
◆ Does it have to be historically accurate?
No, it doesn’t. You can be as imaginative as you want. Try to stay on the line of explorers for the clothing, but you can mix it up with fantasy.

◆ All applicants should provide a portfolio link, Google Drive folder (If they don’t have their works published online) , Carrd or any other website (Instagram, Tumblr, AO3, etc).◆ Page artists are allowed to make 1 to 3 drawings/edits.** ◆ Poem and fic writers have no minimum.**◆ This project will be SFW, this means that gore and explicit sex is not allowed. HOWEVER, mild gore and suggestiveness is acceptable.◆ All applicants will be asked to provide: discord tag, name/alias and social media handle if they have one.
